Jiangsu Normal University (JSNU) is a distinguished regional university jointly supervised by the Chinese Ministry of Education and the Jiangsu Provincial Government. Founded in 1952, JSNU is located in Xuzhou — one of China's most historically and culturally significant cities, with a recorded history spanning over 5,000 years.
As one of the first universities in China officially qualified to recruit international students, JSNU has built a rich tradition of international academic exchange over decades. Today, the university welcomes students from 76 countries and regions, and has forged academic partnerships with 122 universities worldwide — including collaborative research platforms with Harvard University, the University of Edinburgh, and University College London.
JSNU led the establishment of the China-Russia Cooperative University Alliance and was elected as its founding chairman. Eligibility Requirements
- High school / FSc graduate (relevant field for selected program)
- Minimum 60% marks in secondary education
- Age: 18 years or above
- For English-taught programs: IELTS 5.5 / TOEFL 70+ (or JSNU's own English test on arrival)
- For Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 4 (score 180+)
- Good health — standard medical certificate required
- Valid passport with at least 2 years remaining
